It is our pleasure and honor to invite you and your co-workers to participate to the XXVIth International Symposium on Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics of the Bioelectrochemical Society on «Bioelectrochemistry for improved Life Quality» that will be held in the heart of Transylvania, the city of Cluj-Napoca, Romania from 9th to 13th of May 2021.
The main purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum on all various aspects of bioelectrochemistry, to disseminate the knowledge of bioelectrochemistry and to offer an opportunity to PhD students and young researchers to enlarge their knowledge regarding fundamental and practical aspects of modern bioelectrochemical investigations.
The symposium focuses on main aspects of highly interdisciplinary areas of Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics in the frame of environmental and biomedical analysis, concerning smart nanostructured materials and redox polymers, biosensors, biofuel cells, biocorrosion, electron transport in biological systems, molecular recognition and many more.
Therefore, an extensive selection of lectures given by leading scientists presenting recent trends in major research fields involving electrochemical investigations is scheduled. In order to encourage discussions on the topics of interest and to promote possible future collaborations a special poster session dedicated to young researchers will be organized.
Furthermore, hands-on training and short updates regarding instrumental advances of several companies developing scientific equipment for electrochemistry is intended.
Along the outstanding scientific content a stimulating social program will assure a warm and unforgettable atmosphere of this event.
1. Smart materials for Bioelectrochemistry
2. Electrochemical sensors for diagnostics and therapy monitoring
3. Pulsed electric and magnetic fields in biology, medicine and biotechnology
4. Bioenergetics and biosynthesis
5. Microbial films and Biocorrosion
6. Electron transport in biological systems - theory and experiment
